Improving Sandy Run Fish Passage

The aging and perched culvert under Wisconsin State Highway 27 is being replaced. The replacement will allow greater fish passage and also result in a crossing that will allow natural stream flows and mitigate the risk of flood damage. The Wisconsin DOT is also bringing federal highways funding from a PROTECT(opens in new tab) program grant, which is made possible by the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
