Club Calendar

Regular monthly meetings are held locally on the 4th Monday each month except for November – February. Winter meetings are held online. Typically, meetings start at 6:00 PM. Guest speakers are sometimes invited in the summer months.  Check the monthly News pages on this website or the newsletter for meeting specifics.

The Brule River north of U.S. Highway 2 has an extended trout season (for steelhead) that opens on Saturday March 28. Click on Trout Regulations for more information.  

Wisconsin’s early inland trout season closes on the Friday preceding the inland opener. Click on Season dates for more information.

The general inland trout season opens at 5:00 AM on the first Saturday in April (May for the upper Brule). Click on Trout Regulations for more information.

The Club’s first habitat work day will May 16th. We will assist DNR Fisheries and the Brule River State Forest with tree planting along the Brule or one of its tributaries. Check the monthly news pages for details as the date nears.

The Annual Wisconsin Canoe Heritage Day event will be held in Spooner at the Wisconsin Canoe Heritage Museum on Saturday May 23rd. Click on Canoe Museum for more information.

Wisconsin’s summer free fishing weekend will be June 6th and 7th, the first full weekend in June. Click on Free Fishing Weekend for details.

Our 2nd work day is tentatively scheduled for July 25th. Check back to confirm the dates.

The event is tentatively scheduled for August 15th at the Brule hatchery.  Check back as the date approaches.
