The Importance of Habitat

Maintaining the Brule River’s habitat in a healthy state has long been an important focus of the Club. In-stream habitat work by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with the help of Club members, along with donations by local businesses, the help of the Wisconsin National Guard, and the work of Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service beaver trappers, has been important to restoring many degraded stream reaches to a more productive state.
