Kicking and Screaming?

Not really, but the Brule River Sportsmen’s Club has moved even further into the digital world!

Earlier this year, we launched our e-newsletter. The rising cost of printing and mailing the newsletter was the primary impetus behind the move, but it’s now easier for us to provide more content as well.  Additionally, the e-newsletter is less likely to be delayed or lost in the mail.  Members electing to receive the e-newsletter now get it in color, which should make it more enjoyable.  Further, we can include active hyperlinks in the digital copy, allowing easy access to material on the internet that might be referenced in a newsletter article.

Now, we’ve added an online store to our website ( The online store allows you to join the Club (or renew your membership), purchase our merchandise, and contribute to our various funds directly through PayPal. During our fund raising drive for the South Shore Grade removal (, we had many people asking for the convenience of donating online. Rest assured, our website is secure. We added an SSL Certificate to the site. This is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private. For those not comfortable with e-payments, you can still use the postal service to pay Club dues, buy our merchandise, or donate to the Club by downloading, printing, and returning a paper form from the website.
