Last fall, a violent storm, combined with high water levels on Lake Superior, eroded the road leading to the boat landing. The boat landing at the mouth of the Brule River remains closed until further notice. Click on Brule River State Forest for updated information.

South Shore Railroad Grade Update

The South Shore Railroad abandoned its operations in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. After operation ceased, maintenance of their grades also ended.
