Sandy Run Channel Rehabilitation 2007 - 2009 By Brule River Sportsmen's Club
During the summers 2007 - 2009 the club worked on a habitat project on Sandy Run from Hwy. 27 to the Little Brule.  Prior to the club project, DNR personnel worked to improve spawning habitat in the upper reaches of Sandy Run.  The spring of 2007, DNR crews cut alder from the streamside in the project area.  Club members spent 4 mornings in July and August each year removing woody debris from the stream channel providing living space for trout.

July 2004 Frog Point (Noyes Camp) Gravel Addition By Brule River Sportsmen's Club
30 yards of ½ to 1 ½ inch gravel downstream of existing wing dams.  Loaded wheel barrows at lodge with Roger’s tractor and brought to stream edge and dumped in sport yaks.  Gravel was added to augment gravel in spawning areas.

July 2003 Cedar Island Gravel Addition By Brule River Sportsmen's Club
30 yards of ½ to 1 ½ inch gravel added above green bridge. Most added above 2002 project. Gravel was loaded by Jody Swanson and dumped into a shoot on top of the bridge then spilled in to sport yaks for transport upstream.  Gravel was added to augment gravel in spawning areas.

September 2002 Cedar Island Gravel Addition By Brule River Sportsmen's Club
30 yards of ½ to 1 ½ inch gravel added above green bridge. Jody Swanson loaded wheel barrows and they were brought to east side of the river above the bridge via a wooden trail. Sport yaks were used to transport gravel upstream.  Gravel was added to augment gravel in spawning areas.

August 2000 Wildcat Lodge Gravel Addition By Brule River Sportsmen's Club
30Yds of ½ to 1 ½ inch gravel was added to river upstream and downstream of Wildcat Lodge dock. 4 large humps were created.  Gravel was added to augment gravel in spawning areas.

August 2000 Winneboujou Club Gravel Addition By Brule River Sportsmen's Club
15 yards of brook trout sized gravel added. Three humps were created downstream of the bridge on east side, at outflow of lake on east side of river and at Marshall’s further upstream. Roger Anderson Loaded wheel barrows and gravel was dumped off the bridge in sport yaks.  Gravel was added to augment gravel in spawning areas.
